DISSECTING & EXAMINING SPECIMENS TO UNVEIL DISEASE ORIGINS

SeqMatic partners with traveling prosectors to bring necropsy and tissue grossing services into your preclinical facility. This includes expert gross examination and tissue preparation for subsequent analysis. Workflow may involve:

Expert handling of both formalin-fixed and fresh specimens
Conducting perfusions and/or full body necropsies of large and small animals
Comprehensive anatomical pathological examinations
Dissecting, weighing, collecting, trimming, photographing, video recording, and dictating observations from the gross specimens
Custom developments of trimming and imaging tools so as to meet clients needs

Systems & Instructions
Tissue Processing

Samples immersed and stored in formalin, PBS, or alcohol.
Fresh samples frozen using isopentane with liquid nitrogen or dry ice.
Preparation of samples for safe transportation.

Expert prosectors equipped with reagents and tools for necropsy.
Custom instruments crafted by SeqMatic for precise tissue trimming (see products)
